Graduate of 2022

Bio: After completing the Digital Design program at STC, I continued my education at Ringling College of Art and Design. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Motion Design, where I am developing my skills in animation, visual storytelling, and digital media. Motion design is a type of design that uses movement to bring graphics to life. It combines animation, typography, images, and visual effects to create engaging visuals that communicate ideas or tell stories. You can see motion design in things like film titles, advertisements, social media videos, websites, etc.

Thoughts on my time at Suncoast Technical College: My time in the Digital Design program was very meaningful to me. It was during this period that I first began exploring the world of art and design in a more serious way, and the program served as a strong introduction to the creative field. It helped me build confidence in my abilities and sparked my interest in continuing to pursue art and design academically. I would definitely recommend this program to students who are interested in exploring art and design, as it provides a strong introduction to the creative field.

Mrs. Keller was also a great instructor who played an important role in my experience. Her guidance, support, and teaching helped make the learning process engaging and inspiring, and she encouraged students to develop their own creative voices. Overall, the program was an important step in shaping my path.

I am truly grateful for everything I learned at STC. The Digital Design program provided me with an essential foundation in design and introduced me to industry-standard programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Gaining experience with these tools early on has been incredibly valuable, especially now that I am continuing my studies at Ringling College of Art and Design.
