Graduate of 2016

Bio: After graduating from the Digital Design program at Suncoast Technical College, I began working in the apparel industry where I focused on graphic design for custom sportswear and team uniforms. Over the years I developed experience designing jerseys, brand graphics, and marketing visuals for motorsports and team apparel. Today I run my own brand, Command Custom, which specializes in custom BMX, fishing, and other team jerseys sold online through platforms such as Amazon and Etsy. My work combines graphic design, product development, and e-commerce marketing. I regularly design jersey graphics, product images, and advertising visuals used in online marketplaces. The skills I learned in the Digital Design program—particularly layout, typography, and Adobe software—continue to be a major part of my daily work. It has been rewarding to apply those foundational skills to building a real-world brand and business.

Thoughts on my time at Suncoast Technical College: I really enjoyed my time in the Digital Design program. It gave me a strong foundation in Adobe software, design principles, and real-world project workflows. The program also helped me build confidence in my creative abilities and taught me how to approach design problems professionally. Many of the skills I learned there—especially working in Illustrator and Photoshop—are still tools I use daily in my current work. I would definitely recommend the program to students who are interested in graphic design or creative careers.

Current Job: I run my own apparel brand called Command Custom, which specializes in custom team uniforms. The business focuses on designing and producing personalized sports apparel that is sold online through marketplaces like Amazon and Etsy. Graphic design plays a major role in my work, including designing jersey graphics, creating product listings, producing marketing images, and building brand visuals. I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop regularly for design, layout, and product visualization. The digital design skills I learned in school continue to be directly applicable to my daily work running the business.

The Digital Design program played an important role in helping me start a creative career. Since graduating, I’ve been able to apply those skills to real-world projects and eventually launch my own apparel brand. It has been exciting to see my designs worn by teams and customers across the country. I’m grateful for the foundation the program provided and the encouragement to pursue creative work professionally.
