Graduate of 2022

Bio: Since graduation I have been pursuing my bachelor’s degree at Saint Mary’s College, a Catholic women’s liberal arts college in South Bend Indiana. Initially I was a BFA with a graphic design concentration and a Religious Studies minor, but I will be graduating in May 2026 with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in Spanish. I still love being creative and nowadays focus my artistic effort on film photography and fashion design and history in my free time. I will be pursuing a Masters of Theological Studies at Boston College in Fall 2026 with the intention of becoming a professor.

Thoughts on my time at Suncoast Technical College: I loved my time in the digital design program! I highly recommend it. It was such a great way to grow software skills I still use today. More important that that though, it taught me how to go about the creative process from brainstorming to final project. The skill of how to create something in a structured way without waiting for inspiration to strike has served me in essays, school projects, and other creative endeavors unrelated to digital design.

Current Position: I am the Media Coordinator in the religious studies department at my college, which uses digital design a lot. I design logos and posters for the various lectures we put on and edit the videos on our YouTube channel. While my plans have changed and I am now pursuing a career in academia rather than in art, digital design has helped me so much. Without the skills from these classes I wouldn’t have gotten this job that has allowed me to network and make very meaningful connections with the professors that visit the school to lecture. I also am able to use my software skills to digitize and edit my hobby of film photography.
